His memory is no longer what it was but he still can distinctly remember what his doctoral work was way back in 1955. He remembers his friend who did PhD with him. He still tells me what I did well and what I should not have done. I am amazed at his amazing concern for me, even at this late stage of his as well as my life.
I was among his first batch of 6 students. He taught me mass transfer, heat transfer, scale up, biochemical engineering. I have applied the principles in my classes, as well as in personal life. Often I have acted like a catalyst. When the state of my mind goes haywire, I am learning how to bring it back to normal state, quickly. I am learning to draw my own picture.
My teacher is nominated for this year’s Life Time Achievement Award of Indian National Academy of Engineering.
