Howsoever fake your childhood memories are

Where I tried to reach, I couldn't be there

I couldn't find no one I was looking for

Some have flown with the wind

Some freckled but happy faces I found

The years that have gone by have taken with it

The charm of fictitious life

The element of surprise was fast receding

Past seemed unreal, memories looked constructed

Like an old lady, who no one thinks was ever young

Howsoever, one tries to fake one's childhood memories

They seem more real, as if the past has transcended the present
