STILL KNOWING THE KNOWN

I am not sure

If I have changed during all these years

My neurons are fading

New ones are coming

I am open-minded, but

Often I don’t entertain other views

I have not overcome the fear of the unknown

I still make mistakes, I still question

I am still knowing the known

I may think differently, but

Not fundamentally different

God exists for me, as before

In my mind

I argue, to counter arguments

Not sure, if more logically

I offer reason

But follow intuition

To take a decision

I have not changed

World for me has not changed

Change requires evolution

Evolution takes millions of years

To change fundamentally

I like to believe, the timeframe I have

I have not changed fundamentally

And, as they say

Everything has changed

Yet nothing has changed
