The Library Within

A library is a place where nothing is surplus. A place where needs are met and wants are encouraged. A place with no depreciation, only appreciation.
My library offers space, relationships, trust, understanding, and opportunity. It speaks to the whole person, not just the intellect.
Writing has become my way of staying attentive to the world and to myself. When I don't write, something feels incomplete, not because I must produce, but because writing is how I think, pause, and arrive.
I don't go deep in the conventional sense. I don't excavate a single subject endlessly, nor do I aspire to master one domain. I move across ideas, moments, memories, and impressions. I swim at the surface. I have learned that depth is not only vertical; it can also be connective.
I work within limits. Around six hundred words, my thoughts find their natural resting place. Beyond that, clarity dissolves and repetition creeps in. These limits are not constraints I suffer; they are boundaries I honour. They give shape to my thinking and honesty to my writing.
Writing, for me, is not about arrival, but about remaining in conversation with reality. I accept my limitations. Within them, I have found freedom, discipline, and joy. I write not to conquer depth, but to remain awake.
When I wrote my first book, I did not know what I wanted to know. I had a rough, frail hand for writing. I still don’t have a manicured hand. I borrowed Mehendi to make it presentable.
I have written/edited a few books to understand life from a wider perspective.
